E138: Can't write viminfo file...

Timothy Stone-4
Vim masters,

So when I `sudo -u [sudouser] vi [file]' I get the following error:

E138: Can't write viminfo file /home/[realuser]/.viminfo!
Hit ENTER or type command to continue

NOTE: ...............................^^^^^^^^^^
This is the user that executed `sudo'

Vim version 6.3.54 on FC2

I don't have this "problem" on my FC4 box running similar version of
Vim (at least in the 6.x series).

No special configuration on either box, that I can think of at least.

Any ideas how I can make that go away? Just a simple permission change?

Thanks,
Tim
