How to make all listchars visible in a black background?

Peng Yu
Hi,

I set  listchars with the following commands. But tab is not visible
in a black background in terminal. But eol is visible. Why is this?
How to make tab visible? Thanks.

set listchars=tab:>-,eol:$

Tabs are in the SpecialKey highlight group; EOLs are in the NonText
highlight group.  On a black background you might try

    :hi SpecialKey ctermfg=lightblue

See

    :help 'listchars'
    :help hl-NonText
    :help hl-SpecialKey

HTH,
Gary
